At upskhill, our focus is on helping individuals and organizations adapt to the changing world of work. This means providing opportunities for employees and jobseekers to upskill, while ensuring that employers have the ability to easily identify and hire the right talent (with the right skills) to meet their organization’s objectives.

In pursuit of this goal, we are always on the lookout for emerging trends in the workplace and one of the areas we care about is understanding in-demand skills for the future. One thing is for sure: we do not have complete knowledge of what skills will be required in the future – given how rapidly technology is changing the world – and therefore, it is imperative that individuals show a willingness to continuous learn in order to adapt.

As our knowledge of the exact skills needed for the future continues to evolve, we are taking a bet that certain skills will be needed for many decades to come. And one of such skills is the ability to sell.

Selling is often listed amongst the top 10 in-demand global skills and for good reason. Irrespective of the state of the economy, businesses always require people with the ability to sell. Moreover, a career in sales can be worth it as it offers several benefits including:

1. High Earning Potential
